Choosing CPA Offers

Posted in CPA Marketing

For someone just getting into CPA marketing, the variety of different offer types can be confusing – it might seem overwhelming at first to try and figure out what all the different offers are.

Some common types you will find in nearly any CPA network’s portfolio are free-trial offers, zip-submit offers, and e-mail-submit offers.

Let’s begin with free-trial offers, because they are so popular among both advertisers and the marketers who promote them. The reason is simple: These free trial offers are often completely free to the customer, except for a small fee (as little as $1.95 or so) for shipping and handling. The customer gets a product they are interested for an incredibly low price, and the advertiser gets a valuable lead.

As a marketer, you might be wondering how this benefits you. Even though the offer is free, or nearly free, companies are often more than willing to pay generous commissions (as much as $20-$100 per lead). The reason is that many of these free trial offers are forced continuity programs – by accepting the free trial offer, the customer is agreeing to pay for more of the product when the free trial is up, often through a monthly auto-ship program.

All you need to worry about, however, is delivering the lead – retaining the customer is up to the advertiser. That means that you get a high commission on an offer that is easy to convert, and all you have to do is get the customer to the company’s landing page. Free-trial offers are popular for a reason…

Another very common type of CPA offer is a “zip submit.” All a visitor has to do in order for you to get paid is enter their zip code. You can be sure that the company running the promotion has a way to make money from the customer on the back end, but you as the CPA marketer get paid just for the customer’s zip code. These offers convert extremely well, although they are generally low-paying – you might earn as little as 75 cents to $1 for a zip submit, but if you can drive a lot of traffic to them even small change can add up to big money.

Another similar kind of offer is an “e-mail submit.” You have probably heard many marketers say that “the money is in the list,” but building a list of prequalified buyers can be tough, and so companies are willing to pay a lot for the right e-mail addresses. That’s where you come in: All the visitor needs to do is enter their e-mail address and you get paid. Like a zip-submit, the payouts can be a little low, but you can make up for that in volume.

Capitalizing on Exit Traffic

Posted in Traffic Generation

Since the earliest days of internet marketing, webmasters have spent many hours of the day trying to figure out a way to keep visitors on the website longer. Now there are new ways to capitalize on visitors by utilizing exit traffic. Statistics show that up to 95% of visitors will leave within seconds of visiting a web page. By using simple scripts to ask them if they really want to leave and even giving personal messages, you can increase opt-ins and sign-ups by hundreds of percent.

The first of many ways to capitalize on exit traffic is live support. When a visitor attempts to leave a webpage, an alert box pops up saying that a live representative would like to talk to them if they stay a little longer. If they stay, a box is opened which contains a chat with a (sometimes) live person. They can then talk to this person about the product and get any concerns out of the way. Unfortunately this way rarely works and even if it does, it is often very obnoxious (enough to deter visitors even).

Another way to make use of exit traffic, which is considered more reasonable and even more effective, is alert boxes. These alert boxes will pop up and ask if you really want to leave the website. This alone wouldn’t be very effective at all, in fact they would probably be closed almost immediately. To make these of some use, smarter webmasters will make the alert box redirect the open site to a different page. Also a alert box will first open that will tell the user why they shouldn’t leave, and the next alert box will allow them to leave.

The most creative idea has come about through these alert boxes in which they play sound clips to the exit traffic. The website will redirect to a page which plays a sound clip that seems to single out the visitor. By saying something like “I see you are leaving, just let me have a chance to offer you a free copy of…”, you entice the user to see what you have to offer, or even make them feel bad for leaving your site.

Experienced programmers may find it to be child’s play to make a script that does this. The problem is that very few of us are experienced programmers capable of stopping thousands of people from leaving our website. Luckily for the rest of us, you can find these scripts for cheap; unluckily, most of these scripts don’t do everything that you’ll want them to do, leaving you disappointed.

Download the report named 3 Easy Steps That Will Increase Conversion Rates By 300%, to learn the secrets of which scripts are good and which aren’t. You’ll also learn what to do with these scripts to improve how many people will stop leaving to see your new offer. There are so many possibilities that have yet been unexplored. Worst case scenario, you waste 10 minutes of your day reading a free report.

Make Money When Visitors Leave

Since the internet has come into existence, webmasters have looked for ways to keep visitors from leaving their sites. Well the newest great invention might just involve letting them(attempt to) leave your website. Visitors who attempt to leave your website are called “exit traffic”. This exit traffic can actually be a great source of opt-ins to various things. There are multiple scripts built to try and keep users on a site when they attempt to leave.

One such script is the customer support script. When a visitor tries to leave, an alert pops up and tells them that a live representative wants to talk to them first. This in turn brings up a small chat window where you can talk to a (possibly real) representative. I (as well as many others) find this particular script extremely obnoxious. If I want to leave a site, I certainly don’t want to chat with a live person who will try to sell me their product.

Another script is a simple alert pop up. First an alert pops up saying they have a fantastic new offer and you should not leave until you see it. Then it redirects the page that you are currently on and takes you to one with an audio file embedded to it. This is extremely effective because it is hard to leave when there is a real voice saying “please don’t leave until you check out this great offer”, or something like that. This method isn’t too obtrusive and can cause visitors to feel bad about leaving even.

Exit traffic commonly converts to over 300% added to normal opt-ins. There is a free report detailing how you can use this to your advantage, it’s called 3 Easy Steps That Will Increase Conversion Rates By 300%. This excellent report covers many topics about exit traffic and how to optimize it to increase your income revenue by leaps and bounds.

Business Card Benefits

Posted in Offline Marketing

I probably don’t need to tell you that business cards are an incredibly powerful way of getting your name in people’s minds.

There are several benefits to having your own business card the first being that it gives you a way to leave your impression on potential customers.

Are business cards for everyone? The simple answer: Yes. The more complicated answer: No.

Any business, at any level of complexity, benefits from business cards. But high-volume businesses typically rely on business cards at higher levels of the business–finding new suppliers, prospective employees, and other business contacts–than on the basic promotional level.

For a small business (with a much flatter organizational model, usually), business cards take on a much more vital role. This holds doubly true for skilled trades or any business that works on a client model, rather than a customer model.

Customer-based businesses (from supermarkets to software concerns) benefit the most from having a large body of customers to place orders or come into the store, and business cards, for all their advantages, don’t do this as effectively as other forms of advertising. But for skilled trades and other client businesses–for example, graphic designers, efficiency consultants, and even in-home housecleaning services–rely less on a large body of customers than on a few local, trusted clients who’ll patronize the business, form relationships with the business, and provide references to friends and business contacts to allow the business to grow.

Basically, if your business provides a service that a larger business needs, or that can be performed effectively for only a few local clients, business cards are essential for business success.

The other business model that benefits the most from business cards is Internet-based business.

Remember, when people leave your website, the majority of the time they forget you, your site and anything to do with you forever.

Having a business card keeps you, your business and your products & services in the mind of your prospects and if they ever have an associate ask about a service like yours, chances are they will recommend you.

Make sure you have cards handy at all times so you can share them with people who would like to have them.
